■La Passion est en moi Welcome to the world of Louis Moinet.
Louis Moinet was a Master watchmaker with a great passion. He handcrafted such magnificent timepieces that they are exhibited in Le Louvre Museum, the Chateau de Versailles, the Palazzo Pitti and even at the White House, Washington. Which other watchmaker has achieved this ? None.  He dedicated twenty years of his life to write his book on watchmaking, known as the most valuable of his century. Still today, this book is an inspiration for many watchmakers. As President of the Chronometry Society of Paris, he did not pride himself, but always helped other watchmakers to learn more about their science. "La Passion est en moi" is the perfect illustration of his character. In the same way, it relates to Louis Moinet watches, hand-crafted with so much love and dedication. This maxim is our genuine philosophy. It represents what we want to share with you : a true passion for outstanding and unique timepieces. I have had the chance to visit Japan more than thirty times. Ever since my first travel, I admire Japanese people, so receptive and respectful of traditional watchmaking. ■内なる情熱
ルイ・モネの世界へようこそ ルイ・モネ(Louis Moinet)は大いなる情熱を持った時計師のマイスターでした。彼は格調高い手作りの時計を次々に世に送り出し、現在それらの時計はパリの[ルーブル美術館]、[ベルサイユ宮殿]、イタリアの[ピッティ宮殿]、ワシントンのホワイトハウスなどに展示されています。他にこのようなことを成し遂げられた時計師は未だおりません。 彼は、その時代最も価値ある本として知られた時計製造に関するバイブル《 時計技術概論 》を書くのに人生の２０年間を捧げました。今日までもこの本は多くの時計師の創造的発想の原点となっています。 パリのクロノメトリー協会（Chronometry Society）の会長として、彼は謙虚に、そして常に他の時計師がより多く彼らの技術を学ぶための援助を惜しみませんでした。 “内なる情熱 〜La Passion est en moi〜”この言葉はルイ・モネの性格を見事に表しています。それは大いなる情熱と奉仕を持って手作りされるルイ・モネの時計の本質そのものです。“内なる情熱”は、我々の真の哲学であり、我々が皆様と何を共有したいかを表しています。ルイ・モネは、常に時計への情熱を持ち続けていました。私は今まで３０回以上日本へ訪れる機会がありました。その最初の旅以来、私は包容力のある、粘り強く伝統的なモノ創りをする日本人を尊敬しています。 レ・アトリエール・ルイ・モネ（Les Ateliers Louis Moinet）社の基本理念は、同じく時計へのあくなき情熱を持ち続けることにあります。私は、皆様にルイ・モネの時計を紹介し、皆様がルイ・モネブランドの時計を気に入ってくださることを心より望んでいます。 この「ルイ・モネの世界」を楽しくご覧いただけることを願い、また我々と時を共有していただけることに感謝いたします。 ジャン=マリー・シャラー |
